The Story Behind FotoGeeks

FotoGeeks.net was founded in the winter of 2008 when I was involved in our local Cherokee Photography Club learning how to upgrade my knowledge of SLR units and photographic techniques in general. I realized there wasn't an all encompassing local forum for like-minded photographers to collaborate online. I then decided to set out and create an online portal to provide amateurs, hobbyists, grandparents, students, professionals alike, and Geekers such as myself an online shopping marketplace to find the very best in order to achieve their foto goals at considerably less cost. There are several thousand items available here for a vast range of Digital, SLR, or Point-and-Shoot cameras - everything from lenses & filters, batteries, cleaning equipment, to hard to find items like macros & tubes, light meters, and underwater gear.
